I just did a "millwork Leawood Kansas" search in google and got 26 results. Home Depot carries cedar decking that any of those shops would mill for you. Hope that is helpful.

Dave is right; the divots are a primary concern for any type of boat construction. If you use rollers and the boat has any weight at all the rollers ought to support the boat along the keel or stringers.

Steve, The Sweet Gherkin is really SWEET and the process was really creative. I like it better than the Delaware Duckers and railbird boats we have here in South Jersey. Hat's off beautiful boat and masterful job! KM

Here's my 2011 low boat with a 15 horse Yamaha 2 stroke. Amazing how seaworthy they are in a sea if you keep the bow up. And like you said maneuverable. Good luck with it!
