Carl, I think that gaddies just do that no matter where you are, I can count the number of times I had gadwall do that this year. they would lock up from a couple hundred yards out and then at 50 yards bank around and land wide of the decoys....talk about frustrating.

We had an ubelievable hunt wednesday morning, the stars were aligned and everything worked out just right. Some extremely cold artic air blew in the night before and froze everything up with the exception of a certian flow that feeds a small area of the refuge. I was betting on the birds...

Even though we were scheduled to go in for the c-section on Friday, the baby had other plans. My wife went into labor early wed morning and the docs decided it was time. All went well and we now have a new 7 pound addition to the flock, Alyssa Ann Giurfa.

I wore cabelas ultimate waders for years, this year I switched to breathables and will never look back. I got my pair from macks and they are everything I wanted. Best part is 1000 grams in the boots so I will be wearing them all season.

I have a four rivers boat, the large model and I love the boat. I hunt the marshes of tthe great salt lake where most depths are no more then 3 feet. It hides great all grassed out and I run a 5 horse 2 stroke on it with no problems. If u want some pics of it shhot me pm.
